Jeffrey J. Smith
While attending the University of Louisville in 1983, Jeff decided to explore the computer field. At the time this was a relatively new field and few schools offered computer classes. He transferred to Watterson College and in 1985 received an associates degree in computer programming.

Upon graduating, Jeff decided to pursue his career in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. His first job in 1985 was for a company that represented resorts in the Bahamas, thus taking a different turn and starting his career in travel. In 1987, Jeff moved to Atlanta to take a position in accounting at a large travel wholesaler, which lasted eleven years. This allowed Jeff to travel to some of the most beautiful cities in the world, which renewed a long held interest in architecture and became the spark for a needed career change. He went back to school at Dekalb Technical Institute, where he received a degree in architectural computer aided design in 1997.

Having merged his love of architecture and interest in computers, Jeff came full circle and returned home to Louisville in 1998 where he took a position at Bayus-Evola Architects as an AutoCAD operator. Jeff is now a Project Manager and has had the opportunity to work on many projects, design through construction. Some clients he has worked with include L&N Federal Credit Union, Dairy Queen Corporate Stores, Tumbleweed Southwest Grill and Republic Bank on many of their projects. He has also worked on several retail centers, as well as, a substantial addition to The Hurstbourne Country Club.

Jeff is a member of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
